Well it looks like it is out of focus and cleaned.

Thank you for the response. This coined has been owned for over 50 years. The coin has never been cleaned, just very well taken care of. I will get a clearer picture and resubmit it.

I agree with Conder101 about being cleaned...and out of focus. It may not have been cleaned within those 50 years of your possession...but...

IMHO, F-VF details on a cleaned coin. Possibly, this coin was dug and later cleaned; this, as the surfaces show some degree of granularity. I recall, as a kid back in the 1950's using a pencil eraser on some dirty wheat cents. That was over sixty years ago. I've since learned to not do that!
