I bought a lot of coins (auction lot) it's ten pint jars, assorted. I don't know where they came from or how the guy had saved these for many years. I assume they are picked over. Interesting was, I found a few War Cents from the US in there, maybe someone just though, "it's not copper"?

Meanwhile I have coins from all over the world. Some I never imagined existed, like the Philippine cents US from the war? And of course the load of Canadian which I'm still trying to figure out, how do I get a could pounds (weight not British pounds...) up there?

As I was sorting, I went to my desk drawer which has old British coins that I've accumulated over the years, and found this one. Now I'm confused. Don't remember if it was from an auction lot, or something that just missed when I sold the foreigns by weight to a dealer.

Where should I be looking for coin values, for these old and unusual coins? Especially this one, which I found auction results, but I'm still missing anything that resembles knowledge of value. All over the place, all kinds of varieties.

Unfortunately, those are super common (61 million minted) and have little value. You may be able to sell it on ebay for a few dollars.

Thanks for the fast help. I wonder what I saw on the auction listings? Maybe some with letters under left of lighthouse, date variations, or far better grade? Well thanks, I'm going to keep it as an amusement. Now back to sorting and inspecting.

Is there a site that lists foreign coin values, at least for general information. I've plucked out some others that are interesting and old, but like the half penny, probably just fun to wonder where they've been.
