Neither PCGS CoinFacts, NGC Variety Plus nor Cherrypickers are helping me out to identify this coin as a variety or not. Both PCGS and NGC do agree, however, that only two varieties exist for this coin: Browning I and II

At this point all I wish to do is to see the nuances of each variety side by side via some photos and I can take it from there etc.

thx

Arrowheads on the reverse. B-1 has large arrowheads which nearly reach the denticles and have length greater than the height of the letters, and B-2 has much smaller arrowheads which are slightly smaller than the letters. When in doubt, look the coin up in the Heritage archives and sort by ggrade, highest first. The auction description of the high-eend coins will usually contain a variety description.

Another diagnostic is the fletching feathers. On B-1 the point of the feather is over the center of the 2. On B-2 it is over the right edge of the 2. Here are images of the rev of a 31 B-5 that uses the same rev die as 32 B-1, and a 32 B-2.

1831 B-5, same rev die as 32 B-1

Dave nailed it.
And both are common (relatively speaking) with the B-2 slightly less common than the B-1.
