OK here an update-
There are 484 coins not 486. Most have some type of desert patina. There are 18 Greek, 32 Byzantine, 9 Islamic, and 425 Romans.
The Romans- All are bronze. There are a few from the early Empire, some from the late 200s, some from the early 300s, then lots from Constantine and his family, and lots from mostly Eastern Emperors through Arcadius. Size is mostly AE3, then AE4, and quite a few AE2 size.
I was a bit disappointed with the number that had unreadable mint marks- about 20-25% but what can you expect for a dollar each. Most of the mints were Rome south and east. There are some Rome, a couple Carthage, and then the largest amount from Antioch followed by Constantinople, Nicomedia, Cyzicus, Heraclea, Thessalonica, and Alexandria.
I have scanned a few nice ones.
