Maybe where you kept the flip . coins will tone over long periods of time .

Environment...humidity perhaps, a closet with non-moving stale air, smokers in the area? Those older flips, especially the softer ones I question as to PVC content, quite possible if put up in 80's/90's or earlier. If it's PVC, you is sunk, give it a bath in acetone over nite, wont hurt, may just save it's life.

Ok will give it a bath tomorrow night. And no no smoking and Ive had it put in a box for 3 years or so then in a climate controled storage unit for the last year but I will definitely give it a bath it looked great when I won it and I unpacked it yesterday and was like hmmm wonder why it has a tone
