If I were to guess without seeing the picture of what you are describing, it sounds like the number took a hit and the metal has been shifted to the left,but without seeing the image of your coin that remains just a guess! Please try to post the image so you can get an accurate definition.
There is no know mint error of your description therefore their is a 99.9999% possibility that this is post mint damage. Even if it was a bonafide error, it is worth ONLY what some idiot er, unsuspecting and uninformed purchaser is willing to pay. Sadly, this is today's error market, too many non-errors or man-made counterfeit and attempted mimics ruin it for the really true Mint produced error coins. Stick around, learn the difference "is it live or is it Memorex?". Are you a "seeker"? Hope so, can be a lot of fun!
