Hi All,
Sorry no pic's as I'm at work.
I found a 180 degree rotation on a 1989 dime.
The dime looks to me to be MS 61-63, so would it be worth grading at TPG and what would be the approx value of such a coin?
I couldn't find anything on 1989 dime errors / varieties.
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If it is exactly 180 worth grading, about 300 bucks or more depending on grade

Yes, it's exactly 180. Thanks John. I'll definitely get it graded then.

Very cool... there are not a lot of 10c lovers out there for errors... surely, more must exist...

I disagree with getting it graded. The error is self-evident and easily proven. If the grade is indeed between Ms 61 and 63 your pictures should be able to show that.
I don't see that adding several dollars to your cost by sending into a TPG would be beneficial. I may be wrong, maybe the Canadian error coin Market does demand graded coins. Just sharing my thoughts

Sometimes you have to spend the 30 bucks or so in order to get max value, although the variety is self evident most collectors want a TPG to prove a 180

Some people prefer TPG coins of this error type since many rotated die errors are fake. I personally don't prefer them do to the increased cost but realize a coin's marketability can increase with such designation. The trick is to make sure the increase in demand/price outweighs the cost of the service.
