Yep, it is a Dryer Coin. It happens when the coin gets stuck in the drum of the dryer when the washer is spinning and the coin rims gets smashed in causing the coin to look like this.

I agree with @bigsilver and e&v that this is likely a Dryer Coin. If you search CCF on the keywords DRYER CjOIN, you will find many threads with examples to compare with yours.
