No error, just worn/ground down. Maybe spent some time getting run over in a parking lot.

Looks like a Dryer Coin.......many articles on them here if you do a search.

Looks like a Dryer Coin. Probably most likely a Dryer Coin because of the smashed in rims. When coins get stuck in the drum of the dryer and is spinning, the coins rims smashes in, causing it to look like this.

Not necessarily a Dryer Coin, wear is flat, evenly abrasive. This was rubbed, friction, more like a flexible belt(sander/conveyer) or under a pallet on a warehouse floor. Due to patterns of highest point wear, was rubbed against a flat surface, too even. 2 seconds against a grinding wheel by *You may no longer reference this* wouldn't cause that much heat to burn his dirty little fingers while he does his dirty little deeds!
