I have this piece for a while, but I don't know what it is or when it was issued. It's not in my collecting area.
Any ideas?

Called the Washington double head. Most likely made in the 1820's in Birmingham England and sent to the United States. Pretty common so probably not much value with the hole.

Neat! I haven't seen that before. I agree that the hole hurts the value quite a bit. Without that, maybe worth US $50.

The hole also adds some extra history to it. Someone would have kept it close..

Interesting. I did not notice that the first time. Probably because I was distracted by the hole.

A nice find though.
