Put the Danscos in gallon size double zipper ziploc bags with some silica gel packets. The gel will remove the moisture from the small volume of air inside the bag, and the bag will keep any more humidity from getting in.

You might try those gun safe or fire safe dehumidifiers that you find on Amazon. They can bring down the humidity in a 60 square foot room, so they should work good in a trunk. Afterwards when the color changes you just plug it in overnight to "charge" and use it again.
