Well that was an interesting read. 25 million dollar home but only worth 15 million, and not 2 sets of books but no books! YUp7676 I hope this question was a trail balloon set up and not that you did biz with them and if you did hope it works out for you.

Yikes! lol I did indeed place an order with them because they were the only ones with what I was looking for. wasnt aware of that, also strikes me as odd that I mentioned Gainsville Coins and no one really responded, doesn't seem like anyone here is buying from them. I'll say this, their shipping times are reallllllly long, guess I am used to the likes APMEX and MCM, you pay, say with credit card and within days its on its way. I'll keep you guys posted. AFter reading that and the long shipping time, I thinking I am staying away. I realize in this day and age a lot of scamming goes on and everyone has to protect themselves but if competitors are shipping much faster, you would think it would be pretty much standard across the board. Boys, girls, as I said, I'll keep you posted! |

Coins and PM's or both get a lot of fraudulent attention as exposed in this forum of ours.
With gold spot price over US$1300 per OZ its happy days to the bad guys. Sad Hey!
There seems to be no country boarders when it comes to fraud in this area.

The article indicates this group of people/companies include ICG (coin graders).
ICG's website contains this quote: "At ICG you can trust that the graders and staff do not buy or sell coins".

In my case no, it wasnt a pre-order. Also, an update, I received an email with shipping/tracking info. I am in no rush, I am a patient individual but just, I guess you get accustomed to fast shipping times from MCM, APMEX, to name a few dealers, I have used others so I am like hmmmmm. The other thing that, well, didnt worry me but it was interesting was it took 2 emails to get a response and I was not a jerk in writing to them lol also, the shipping times are vague, they talk about shipping times for pay by check but unless I missed it, didnt see it spelled out for credit card. Also, they mention you get some sort of shipping info in your confirmation email, my confirmation email did not mention anything about shipping. about the best thing was I did call to ask, have to go back and look at my notes who I talked to and what date time I Called them, but I do believe they did say 9 days on the order. When it gets here I will give you guys another report. Just wished they would offer more communication and just say "our shipping times will be longer than our competitors" but hey, what do I know? I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they are going to deliver :) |

Ok! Guys, gals, the package was delivered today!
ordered on the 4th, shipped until the 13th and made it here today.
As far as coins go, probably the LONGEST ever wait for me lol
However, the package was well sealed, taped, had a plastic polybag around it and packed extremely well inside.
SO all ends well, at least in my case. :O)

Good to hear. I know peeps like gainsville for their lunars prices but I never ordered through them because they sell out

That wasn't too bad, Provident's shipping is about three weeks when paying by check.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...

I have ordered from Provident in the past, paid with CC and they were fast..
I think GC have been the only ones that took the most time...
