Why are specimen coins somewhat less valuable than its PL and business strike counterparts? Maybe this isn't always the case but the few coins I have looked at is was the case.

That's a good question David and I'm sure that we will get an answer to that, someone here must know why because I'm a Canadian coins collector and I don't know why.

I am a Canadian coin collector myself here in Michigan. My resources to such information is limited. Personally I think specimen coins look super. I am baffled as to why they would be valued less than a PL or business strike. Hopefully someone will have an answer for us.

talking about price's Whats with colonial acres high price on silver maple's Recently? when the price of silver has gone down Someone I know just bought some recently and while he loves silver maple's he was pondering how come he paid so much for them compared to other place's. I guess maybe because they figure they are "highly demanded" coins so they justify it in terms of "supply n demand" But I figured it shouldnt be so high in price for example JandM sells 10x silver maple's for around $195-$200 While Colonial is selling that same ten maples for $227.50 .. I love Colonial Acre's as they have a nice website and they are very informative and service Friendly but I'm sorta shocked at there price for silver bullion. hehe Maybe Maples are starting to cross over into the "numismatic camp" and thats why the price has gone up just like those dang nice Kookubarra's have where now they sell for upto $ 30 oz while one year ago it was selling just a 1.50 above spot..

Some of the prices at Colonial Acres are a bit steep, especially the shipping cost of one coin to the USA.

Sometime Colonial is high in is pricing and also expensive in shipping, for single coin ship to Canada it's $ 6.00 and find also very high shipping to US,it's always good to shop around sometime you get better price for the same quality coin.
