When you buy a roll of coins in any demonination, is that roll composed of coins coming from the same die press? For example, if you buy a roll of 1951 quarters, assuming they are still in original mint packaging (assuming the mint sold rolls back in the 1950s), would they be all the same? Or would they be composed of quarters from many different machines, and in all of the various varieties?

My gues is there is more then one machine printing these coins so I would say they do come from different machine or die.And also when a coin is made more then one die is made for this coin.
