Thanks for your feedback. I took a close up of the right obverse field of the coin and enhanced it. It was revealing and disappointing. This one will be going back. I was surprised because I thought I had looked at the images carefully but they were taken in a way that minimized the scratches. Seller was very kind, cancelled the order upon request and refunded my money right away. There are many good guys on the bay. I knew the coin was scratched but the images gave the impression that the scratches weren't that severe. A little digging revealed otherwise. It was offered for $650. I offered $500 and the seller accepted. Probably too good to be true.
