I have this Red 1995-D Lincoln Cent with the close 'AM' variety (or error). I checked under my 16X loupe and it's definitely close. What would this be worth if this was in mint state?

This is the best picture I could take.

It would be worth about one cent because Close AM is normal for that year. Sorry.

Close AM started in 1993. That's why the 1992 Close AMs are valuable and rare. That's also why the 1998-2000 Wide AMs are more valuable (especially 1999).

Yep, I was just researching that year and saw just about every 1995-D was close. Oh well, I guess it's just for 1992 then.

Yep. But... if you do find a 1992 Close AM, it's time to celebrate.

Keep searching!

Close AMs are known from both Denver and Philly for 1992, although fewer than 5 were known from Philly last I checked.

98-00 Wide AMs are only known from Philly. Back then, Philadelphia prepared the master dies for proof coins and then shipped them to San Francisco. Someone "accidentally" made a handful of dies from the proof master, and put then in use at Philly. San Francisco started making their own master dies shortly after, so in theory there cannot be any Wide AMs for the last few years of the LMC, although 1994-97 *could* exist in theory.
