Forum subscriptions have been temporarily suspended while we are trying to nail down a posting issue several users are having. Posts have been timing out for some users. Since the forum must email everyone that is subscribed when a post is made, we are attempting to see if this is the slow down problem and find a solution. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Over the past several days I got a time out on posting but when I went and looked the post had been posted

That's exactly the problem others were having. If it happens now that the subscriptions are turned off please let me know. |

I just experianced my first timeout of the day, when going from the main forum to all forums.

I just had a post timeout in the Welcome forum. Firefox 1.0.7, for the record.

Like ageka, I received a timed out message, but when I checked, the post had posted.

I still get them. I posted to the "coins in the news" and the 2nd and 4th post both timed out.
This of course takes 2 to 3 minutes before getting the error message.
The post will show up, however, if you are replying to a thread, it will not log the fact that a new post has been made.
It seems to happen on a random basis. It also happens in random sections of the forum.
It frustrates the heck out of me. I try to set aside time to contribute each day, but the time out error message really gets to me.

Since I have signed up I find the forum slow...even on broadband...but never a time out issue.

I am getting 0.1, 0.2 seconds on active.asp. Seems normal from here.
Anyone getting timeouts on posts, still?
