This arrived today. Paid $20. I am leaning towards AT, but I don't really care for the price. She's pretty. Thanks for the opinions!

That is a very pretty one! I am also leaning towards AT, the toning on both sides are just too identical and evenly spread. I would like to see a close up of the Profile and IGWT if possible. Nice score for $20

Gorgeous , looks like it was in an old Whitman for a very long time . I am on the side of natural or Market acceptable Toning. Nice coin for the price!

Whatever it is, it's very appealing.

I also agree with AT. The color progression is wrong.

Quote: The color progression is wrong. Actually, the progression is correct. It goes white, gold, russet, burgundy, blue, cyan, green, yellow, lavendar. http://goccf.com/t/186193But the last color is very weak and looks fairly odd in hand.

Typecoin, it is the final color on the obverse that bothers me too. Orange, red and then magenta should have followed the yellow. I am considering this coin from the images, not in hand, and the reverse just doesn't look right either.

Just for the sake of argument, Here is an NT Morgan (I sent in and PCGS gave it MS-65) that goes from yellow to magenta.

Typecoin that is very beautiful. Yes that combination is possible, but you don't see it very often. I too owned one, she ended up in the Northern Lights collection and I do miss her.

I'm going to go with AT . And if so it would dismiss a straight grade . Dumb on there part because this coin with full head ,full hand ,virtual full breast feathers and nice leg feathers a virtual no problem coin might have fetched MS-66 straight . I admit looks pretty but I'd rather have it in blast white ,than AT .

It looks like market acceptable album or folder toning. I think "natural or artificial" is misleading. Toning is a chemical process and we are actually discussing the degree of human intervention. Technically, putting in and album and leaving it alone is still unnatural.
