Terrible Seller Photos - 1917 C NFLD 50c, George V, Take A Shot At A Grade!

The seller really, really needs to work on his photography, but the coin cost me $4.00 (US) with free shipping.

I will shoot photos when it shows up next week; in the meantime, would anyone like to guess at how it might turn out? The obverse looks to be rather heavily toned, and the reverse much less so.

There appears to be a C mint mark at the bottom of the reverse but his pictures are out of focus...

IMO vg-10 however it maybe cleaned, but if memory serves me right you paying $4 is a couple bucks under melt so can't really go wrong there lol.

I believe all nfld 1917 quarters have a "c" mint mark

VG details - one side looks ED, the reverse looks cleaned.

I agree with the cleaning observation, too. I saw it listed with 20m. left for $4.00 & free ship so I figured I'd throw out a $4 bid and someone would outbid me just for the silver content, but to my surprise, I actually won the darn thing. Not like I made a ton of profit there, though ;)

Not to be a snotty blue pencil spruett, but the 1911 doesn't have a mint mark.
