A few years ago I completed a transaction to purchase "working sample" medals relating to Hawaii from a minter based in Vancouver. I basically acquired all Hawaii related medals from their archive.

Unbeknownst to be me, the minter sent another package of a dozen other "working sample" medals.

Here is a bronze 2008 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Mint.

I found that only 7 gold specimens were struck using the die pair. The reverse description matches my working sample.

The question I have for Canadian collectors: Has this 2008 design been issued other than gold?
