At a guess this is a temple token, perhaps silver, perhaps quite recent. It's quite small, about 20mm

Yes, it is Indian or Pakistani in origin. I haven't seen this particular one before, but I have seen some bronze ones with similarities in design to this one posted on the forum before. Particlar interest is the number "786", which can be seen very small, in Western numerals, at the top of the lower pic. This number has particular numerological meaning among Muslims from South Asia. See this example and the discussion there.
