1914-D-Lincoln-Ag-Counterfeit-From-Flea-Market

Found at a flea market for $1. Took a chance and looks like the D is in the wrong location. It was in a folder of all legitimate mostly foreign coins. The guy looked to be in his late 20s and didn't seem to know or care about the coins. Looked to be cleaning out his basement and selling at the flea market. I just wanted others to share their thoughts.
Rest in Peace

Maybe an "S" Mintmark? Check locations of those, may not be a big'un, but could be legit.

I didn't think of the S. There was a label maker sticker where it was in the generic album that just said 1914. I happened to notice there was a mint mark there and gambled my dollar away.

Edit: Seems like it's too close even for an S mint after looking online.

Worth a dollar gamble. At least it was only a 99 cent try.

2.9 grams. It's close, but I'm not so sure being heavily worn would take .21 grams away from the weight. Plus I've seen other fakes with the D close to the date like that.

How about some more images, including the reverse side?

Also, it almost looks like signs of initials under Lincoln's profile. Can we get a picture of that area?

Sorry, this coin is super worn and I have a hard enough time getting good pics to begin with. The surface even looks weird.

It looks like it's beyond a positive identification.
It appears to have been cleaned with something corrosive.

I agree. I would have bought it just to get a better look at it on my own time.

So do you all think this is a legit coin, just treated like crap and heavily worn?

Worn and corroded beyond all recognition ... no clue based on the photos provided what you might have.
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art
