I just acquired a 2017 Enhanced Circulated Coin Set and when was examining the Sacabuck's reverse I noticed some rather peculiar doubling affecting some of the reverse lettering. Check out the scans below and let me know what you think.

Thanks,

JDRMCB

In my opinion it does look like a doubled die. I've actually seen this coin posted on another forum too.

I've not seen this coin yet. But a question? Are the outside areas showing incuse devices? If so then it is MD like the ATB Quarters. So let me know if they are sunk into the coin and not raised or not. Thanks.

This was reported within minutes of people receiving their coins. Almost as soon as reported, they were deemed to be MD not doubled dies.

All devices on the obverse and reverse of this coin are raised. The only incuse lettering is located around the edge of the coin. (***E PLURIBUS UNUM***2017-P***)

And I'm aware of the numerous accounts of doubling reported on this coin but everything I've found has involved the obverse, I haven't found anything involving doubling on the reverse.

Send it to sir wexler for attribution! It only costs 4 bucks per side plus the cost of shipping to and from! I'm sure he can tell you what it is since no one can tell you for sure here

@ shtudentt,

That's it! This coin exhibits quite peculiar doubling characteristics doesn't it?
And to clear up the confusion and misinformation concerning the reverse, the devices in question (outer lettering) is raised and NOT incuse. However, it is located within a slightly incused outer ring of the field.

Keep us posted as to what the verdict is when you find out!

Thanks,

JDRMCB
