I've been out on Gerry Fortin's site for way too many hours. I'm just not finding the attribution for my 1876-cc SLD. Or, I'm blind as a bat which is probably closer to the truth. This coin has die breaks that run all the way under the date and up the left side of the obverse.

The reverse 'One Dime' is doubled. I want to become more familiar with this series and I thought this would be a good coin to get a start on it. My pictures don't do it justice as there is still luster and it's actually got wonderful blueish toning on both obverse and reverse.

Any help from the Seated Liberty experts here? I'd greatly appreciate it.

Nice images!

Some indicators to eliminate are a Large Knob 6 and a Type II Reverse. Your dime has a Small Knob and Type I Reverse.

The closest I can get to a match is Variety 118

Obverse 15: Medium Level Date, Small Knob 6, Die Crack At Bottom Of Date

Reverse M: Die Cracks, Small CC, [mm Lt,L,TL1], Doubled ONE DIME

Give Gerry Fortin a holler, he has been more than accommodating with me.

oih82w8 - thank you... I did look at this one but I didn't see the die crack between the mint mark on my coin. I'm assuming maybe either the toning is hiding it or it's an earlier die state. What confuses me is the die crack on my obverse is so pronounced it's a little confusing that I don't see the same thing on the reverse.

I sent my pics to Gerry Fortin asking for some assistance, hopefully he'll have a little time to look at them. I'll post his response if he is able to look at the coin.

Directly from Gerry Fortin, who was just awesome...

This is a tough one. Looks like F-117 obverse with unlisted reverse. The obverse measure is DR 1C and not DR 2C. Forget the obverse die crack at the date and look carefully at the date position.

Gerry

Looks like I'll start digging into date position...
