1985 D Quarter - What Kind Of Error Do We Have Here?

Aspiring2 New Member United States 26 Posts	Posted 10/27/2017 09:02 am Is there is some defect or error above the wing on the reverse? It didn't scrape off with a toothpick. I also noticed that the surface looks very "grainy", but not like a Woody. The grain is parallel in regions, but not across the entire surface. What would cause that? Thanks!
