@Archeo1982, just so that I can learn here...on the rev of this coin, the letters DSC and the cross were stamped into the coin well after it was minted, right? Could be someone's intials. The cross looks floriated to me so perhaps this extra adornment occurred a long time ago. Is that your opinion too or do the counterstamps look more recent to you?

Because of his reputation among the catholic church. As the first Christian emperor, according to the catholic history that is, he's seen as a kind of Saint. I think the letters are short for Deus Sanctus Christi"

That's an interesting thought. I guess that it's possible. However the font looks more later than the period.
