I would say that this coin is a very well struck business strike, because it doesn't exhibit the wide, evenly squared off rims that early matte proof cents are known to have. But still, a very nice coin nonetheless!

The rims and the detail freshness are what determines which is which. The Matte proof rim edges are sharp, the business strike ones are more rounded.
