No one has posted the new 2018 Panda designs yet, in case you haven't seen them, here they are: http://agaunews.com/china-debuts-ex...silver-gold/A bit different than in previous years, a zoomed in look at the panda's face. I like it as it's a bit of a change from prior years. I have the silver pandas dating back to 2010, I will get this one as well. The silver 30g ones should be available this week apparently. What do you all think about this design?

easy pass for me, I havent bought pandas in ages, too high of mintages for me personally. I last bought in 2016.
The panda looks too cartoonish for me.
that said, I might buy a tray of these from 2017 since it appears changes are coming. Plus I like you get 15 instead of 20-25..

I like panda coins. But I dont collect every year like some pandaholics.
I have the moon festival pandas which is a great design and 2016 which is ok. The 2018 panda looks a little goofy but maybe it will grow on me..or Not. Lol

I like it more than the designs of the last few years. I'll probably get one.

Interesting that one person likes this and one person likes that. Have looked very hard at this area because of selling collectibles at auction houses and on ebay and have done so in as big a way as I can muster in the last 15+ years. Am now a person that does not follow everything thing I personally like when it comes to the why I buying selling stock. Great selling material stands out more than my personal likes or dislikes to any collectibles these days. I wonder where pandas fit in as a reseller. Milk spots etc is not a good look but.....

Just read my post above and that has to be the worst post I have ever made. Not a good look.

My Panda collection just goes from 2009 - present and I just pick up one each year.
Some of the designs I don't seem to care for alonee but when I put the group of them all together it just seems to work for me. I am not a reseller but I get your point kg5 about looking beyond personal likes and dislikes. Good luck in your business!

I imagine "in-hand" it's very nice, Pandas somehow always look better in person than in pictures.
It still irritates me to no end that they went to a 30g coin though. Most countries across the globe use the metric system, but still issue 1 tr.oz. (31.1g) coins...I don't know why China thinks they are so special. Australia even uses both systems (you can buy a 1 oz Koala, or a 1kg Koala for example).

I agree with 1cent, what was China thinking?
I like the pandas, but they are such high mintages that in my eyes, they lost some of their glitter. I did pick up the first year of the Pandas with their change to grams, like the gold and silver lower mintage bullion coins but thats about it. I probably will keep an eye out for those commemorative pandas but thats about it... I prefer lower mintage coins, like those South Korea Tigers, man those are awesome, even if they are "medals".

I have bought 3 pandas each year (one for each of my kids) so design is no biggie for me.

I like Pandas but I still dont like this one, not at all.
I really love the 1st one they did when they changed to grams.
Gold and silver pandas rock but this is NOT my year lol
I WAS a long time, way back of Pandas, tho I stopped even then, wondering, "who is going to buy a gold or silver coin from China, I am nuts for buying them" LOL
I do like their 15 sheet of pandas tho, thats a great way of selling them...

Well, I ordered a couple, simply because I have a spot in the collection for one, and the second will make a good gift to someone.
They (Pandas) are definitely still capitalizing on mintages that USED to be low, in order to justify their inflated price going forward (IMO).
It also doesn't sit right with me to support China in any way, but I try to look at the coins separate from national politics.
