What are your thoughts on these coins? Both coins have a cartwheel luster, but the first coin's is a lot better.

Maybe it's the lighting, but these look polished to me. Hope I'm wrong.

I think it's the lighting, I haven't mastered coin photos yet. I tried to use as much natural light as possible, but I guess that is having the wrong effect. How are you supposed to take pictures of coins to highlight its features?

The angle of your light source is too low and it may need to be diffused somewhat depending on what you're using.

I'll add both coins are AU until proven otherwise(with better photos)

AU, details, cleaned.

Put a light material that still allows light to pass through it over the light source. That helps to take out the bright spots.

The cheeks and eagle's breasts just look too slick. Perhaps some different pics would make a difference.
