The southern ones I agree are PMD. Now just look at the northern one. Does that one alone look like a maybe?

They are all PMD. Note the area around all the raised design elements on this coin. These areas are darker toned because they were protected from wear by the raised design. Damage to a coin like this will leave a raised area around the damage called a pressure ridge. On this coin the pressure ridge acted like a raised design element and protected the darker toning which is seen around all the spots in question.
