I would like to see an image of the building to see if the mark on the left side of the mint mark is MD or part of the RPM. It looks like a North from the top of the mint mark.

I see a mark on the 'o on MONTICELLO. The different directions of of light mark the mint mark look different. Still learning towards a North RPM on this one. If the bar in the center is part of the same RPM, then it might be a NW? It just doesn't all add up though. The mark on the inside of the mint mark might be an older die scratch? The mark on the top of the mint could be coin contact? The top of the mint mark at 1:00 is something I still consider. I'm going to get some images of mint marks for this year/mint and see what other mint mark look like. (I'm not giving up yet)

Back again. Looks like the mint mark for that year are the same size as your coins. But the damage reduced them a bit. So it is not a RPM. Just a normal mint mark with MD and a bit of coin image.
