I finally got a reply from a kind person at the central bank in Aruba.

"The easiest way to check if the coin is false is to use a magnet. A false one will not stick on the magnet. Another way to check is to use a loop and see if the waves in the Coat of Arms have curves. If the waves are straight then the coin is false.

Hope that this information can help you check the coin."

It looks like I am in luck as my coin is magnetic.

Can anyone please explain this word: loop to me?

I would say that my coin is genuine after all.

Many thanks to all of you who replied and assisted me.

It is most often spelled "loupe" and is a compact magnifying glass used by numismatists, jewelers and horologists. They generally look like this:

I would say your coin is authentic. It's difficult to tell but, I think the waves on the Coat of Arms on your coin have curves and are not straight.

Hi Spruett001,

Thank YOU so much for clearing up what loop really means! Ah, it is loupe. A new word for me and my vocabulary.

Yes, I would like to think the coin is authentic. I will check my coin again this weekend.

Will keep you posted. That is if you are interested.

Thanks again!
