Hey guys,

I got this small coin as part of a group buy from a friend, and the only possible idea they had about it was that it could possibly be Indian. I have wracked my brain, and most of the online sources I could find, and to me it doesn't seem Indian at all. It is very small about 6mm in diameter and weighs just a few grams. It is silver in colour and is non-magnetic but I doubt it is the precious metal itself.

You are right with it being from India—the Indian state of Travancore, to be exact. It is 1 chuckram, which was made from 1860 to 1901.
