Just joined 5 minutes ago to figure if anyone might know what this is,i have a small box of very early european coins and this is provong a little difficult to determine what it is,i am it might be hungarian, its small about 10mm and weight is .6 grams,i would think it was silver, any thoughts to country, year and value would be appreciated,or if you could point me to a suitable site to try and identify I would certainly aprreciate that also

It is indeed Hungarian, a silver denar from the reign of a king named Wladislaus or some variant thereof (the title around the shield is "WLADISLAI. R. VNGAR. M.). The obverse figure is the Virgin Mary, patron saint of Hungary (VNGARI PATRONA).

These Hungarian denars were issued for over a century, and are one of the earliest series of coins to commonly bear a date. Your coin doesn't bear a date, so I suspect it's from very early in the series (pre-1500). As it turns out, Wladislaus II of Hungary ruled from 1490 to 1516.

Unfortunately, I don't have any reference books that cover this period very well, so I can't say for sure.
