Can anyone confirm before I get too excited? I've researched and researched and everything points to me actually having found one. Seems too good to be true.

Woop thanks so much for the quick reply! I've recently gotten really into coins and this is my first really rare find! Never would have guessed it would be a Canadian coin since I'm located in southern US, but hey. I'll take it!

Thanks everyone! Already digging this community as it has answered nearly all of my questions just by reading old threads.
One other question I'm still not clear on: would this be a coin worthy of grading? It is obviously rare but I'm not sure if its condition lends itself to that being appropriate. I have no plans to sell it at the moment but if that were to change, should that affect my decision to get it graded or not?

No need to get it graded...

Why not build a Canadian Elizabeth II 1-cent coin set around it? You already have the cornerstone...

As SPP says, don't bother to get it graded and pay a TPG big bucks for opinions that you can get right here. As SPP also says, every other Liz coin in the series is very easy to obtain very very cheaply and common in rolls or old pocket change.

umm I believe this is actually a sf, unless these two sources are both wrong. (although I think it is the same author). hope hes got it backwards but the flare and how its pointing directly at a denticle, according to those sites says its sf.

wazzappenning, I believe you are looking at the wrong i, you should be looking at the I in dei, it is flared and points in between the denticles..
