I just picked this up off of ebay for $13, which I really didn't mind spending for this coin. I already own the RPM #3 in better condition than this, so I'm banking on this being the RPM #1. Can anyone help discern the difference? I know the mintmark placement is different on the two coins, but I have always been bad at telling out of hand. Any help is appreciated! Please excuse the bad closeups, as they are the seller's scans. Thank you all!

I'm no expert at all but the mint mark on the rpm3 is closer to the 2 and the rpm1 is down and closer to the 9 so by the placement I would say it could be number 1

I lean towards -001 for this one. The MM of -001 is left of that for -003, kinda tucked up under the right of the 9 where -003 seems clear of a vertical line through the right of the 9. -003 is also higher, above the lower tip of the 9, where 001 is even horizontally with that tip. The repunch of -001 is closer to the original than that of -003, as seems the case here, but the images aren't conclusive on that.

Agree this is 001. Certainly it is not 003, which has a much different look, and 002 sits a bit further out in the field with a larger gap between the bottom of the S and the effaced image.
