it has a p mintmark but on reverse on eagle left shoulder
the s mintmark is clearly seen making this quarter double mintmark p and s but condition is poor. Is it even worth grading?

I don't see it but, whatever it is that you see is an aberration. It is just damaged.

It's on the top part of wing . Really you dont see it. On any other quarter there wouldn't be anything but the s sideways is clear. I know I'm an amateur but not blind.

If it is in use, then it is coin damage. If it is raised, then it is transferred from the die. I don't see anything that looks like hub doubling on your coin.

I agree with damage. It's just a ding on the coin that appears to look like an S. It would be impossible to have a misplaced mintmark on this coin, as they stopped punching mintmarks on the die by hand in 1990. The mintmark is now part of the master die that all the working dies are made from.

I appreciate last response.
It makes sense and doesn't play the I don't see anything game. Calls it what it is, instead of sounding god like trying to make me think I'm seeing things. Thanks.

I wasn't playing any games. I really don't see anything that looks like an S mintmark.
