Great find! The die eventually broke apart in pieces. The 1950's were my favorite year for die wear errors.

The mint really tried to get there monies worth out of the dies in the 50's.

Not really sure. I spent at least 2 hours looking at it, trying to figure out what is going on with it.

Finally sent it over to COC to see what JC thinks about it.

It looks like an RIDB to me. Very nice!

I couldn't find a match quickly on COC.

The U.S. Mint probably did the same thing during the tough times during WW2. Probably had to get their money's worth out of every single die since it was a fanancially a tough time.

I looked through there listings a couple times and didn't see it, but it wouldn't be the first time if I missed one.
