Australia's Wedge-Tailed Eagle series will continue in 2018 with a new design by former US Mint Chief Engraver

Per the authorizing legislation for the coins, the new design "consists of a circular border and partially obscuring the border is a representation of a flying eagle and an eagle with its eaglet perched on its nest."
Versions will be released in gold, platinum and silver:
Gold- a 1/10th ounce bullion coin
- 1, 2 and 5 ounce high-relief proof coins
- a 2 ounce piedfort coin in proof
Silver- 1 and 10 ounce bullion coins
- a 1 ounce standard-relief proof coin
- 1 and 5 ounce high-relief proof coins
Platinum- 1 ounce bullion
Releases dates and issue prices are TBD at this point and other versions could potentially be added later, but I'm glad to see that there will be new designs in 2018 for the wedge-tailed series. I've been collecting the one-ounce silver coins and look forward to seeing the new design and adding at least three new coins to my collection.
