Wanting to now which key & semi-key date wheat pennies from before 1920 are of the best value, I ran the mintage and the price of the coins in EF in the RedBook. The higher the percentage, the more underpriced the coin is. Here is what I came up with for the coins under 6.5 million minted:

(winner!) 1910-S: 220%
1913-S: 171%
1911-S: 162%
1915-S: 155%
1912-S: 138%
1914-S: 133%
1909-S: 59%
(control)1909-S VDB: 0%
1914-D: -81%

Do take into account the mass hoarding of a brand new cent design being the first time a President was ever on a coin. They are out there but not in actual circulation or collections. They are in grandma's change jar in the attic

These statistics do not take outside factors into account. I just did it to get an idea. -PP
