I picked this one up last weekend as well. Its a 1 pound token from the Hadfield Equitable Cooperative Society in Great Britain. It appears to be uncirculated, anyone know a catalog number or value? I'm wondering if its worth getting slabbed or not.

Many thanks-
XoG

No, don't bother getting it slabbed. It's very much a buyer's market with the bulk of the collectors being in the UK. The prevailing sentiment, although it has shifted in the last few years, is that if you are a collector you make up your own mind as to condition & grade. Why pay a third party to tell you what you already know? It will eventually change here, but TPG is still regarded by many as for "investors" only. That being said, there are still bargains to be had for knowledgeable collectors able to spot varieties the graders have missed.

Following on from which, can you suggest any American TPG that could grade a fairly modern non US token with any accuracy?
