Ashanti Gold Weights

I was given these two items whilst working in Ghana about 20 years ago.

The small one weighs 34 grams and the larger one 202 grams.

I believe that they are ashanti gold weights.

They appear to be bronze covered in verdigris

Would anyone here know off the age ore value of them.

@Angielczyk, other than the wikipedia link below, I'm not going to be of much use. I have a couple similar pieces that I believe are old opium weights.

I do note that in the reference section of this article, there are several papers from the journal, Transactions of the Historical Society of Ghana. Depending on how much research you are looking to put into this, you could start there. Also, it appears as though Simon Fraser University in British Columbia (Canada) has a collection. You could contacting them.
