Stopped in to the LCS to buy a 2018 Britannia and look for a couple of hole fillers. Owner had some "grab bags" for $20 of Jeffersons, Lincolns, and Roosies in 2x2's. I had a bit left over so I grabbed one of the $20 Jefferson bags. I think I did ok for $20...there was also a 1939-D in low grade in there, which I took out of the 2x2 to fix PVC green of death. Picked up a cleaned 1924-D Wheat with VG details and a (probably) cleaned 1913-S with F details, both coins for $10, along with a decent 1847 Large Cent. Some of these Jeffs are Dansco-bound ASAP! I'm always looking to fill and upgrade album holes. I only need 1909-S, 1909-S VDB, 1911-S, 1914-S, 1914-D, 1915-S, 1922 No D and 1931-S. to finish my Wheat album. I do have a 1909-S but it's a high grade slabbed coin and not going to get cracked out. Almost done with my 2nd set of 1938-1964 Jeffersons and I've completed about 60% of a 1960-2006 Proof Jefferson set as well.

Good solid group and worth snatching up. It's always great to have a LCS to buy from.

Very nice ... hope they help your sets ... or at a minimum inspire your collecting interest.

Good pick-up, especially if you can use some to upgrade your nickel albums.

It turns out on inspection the 47S and 48D were both Full Steps 63-64 range, the 41D is 64 partial steps and has beautiful toning. 48D has a die crack from the right of Monticello's dome to the rim, and also nice gold toning. The 45S war Jeff is a solid 64 but the steps are flat. So overall a good deal and all are now resting comfortably out of those 2x2's.

Nice little collection there. After finding the two proof Lincoln cents I obtained through circulation, I have thought about getting a collection of loose proofs from all circulating denominations.

Very nice. I always enjoy playing the grab bag lottery. lol
The more I look at large cents the more I like them.
