I went to the Starbucks next to the hospital the casher open a new roll of quarters to give change. she was short on $1.00 bills so she ask do you mind $4.00 in quarter I said no. the parking at the hospital take $2.00 to park and the dollar are hard to put in the money taker.

so I was read my new Coin World and John Wexler had a article about the 2008 Oklahoma quarter having a variety with a doubled ear and may brother in law also got $4.00 in quarter. I had my lop in my pocket. here what I found 12 of the 14 we got in change look just like there's

Hi,

Great pictures...Do you see the little striated lines on the effected area? You can also see that the metal above the scrape has been moved and is "rippled" and uneven.

That is a minor scrape. It is not uncommon as this often happens as the coins are released after the strike. It's a scrape.

Doubled ears have a rounded look in a slightly lower relief than the primary (real) ear. The coin(s) , shown here just show a damage to the earlobe.

Thanks,
Bill

I'm not trying to be a pain, but I can't tell from these pictures. Also, I had to replace a cable that was junk so I wasn't online for a few days.

I just can't say from these pictures.

Thanks,
Bill
