I just won this coin on e-bay. Would like feedback. Also, do you think the coin may benefit from acetone bath? Thanks.

I doubt acetone would do much for this coin but it wouldn't hurt to try. I think it has environmental damage. I can't make out the date so I would say fine-details ED.

Agree, no harm in trying, but I don't have much hope for this one.

Looks like it was in an encasement at one time as a piece of jewelry making it nothing more than a details coin.

That's a good point, Mark. The reverse rim is especially evident.

The SLQ seems like one of the few coins in which weak dates are tolerated for lower grades. Without the enviro damage, how do you think this would affect grading(a more general question)?
Rest in Peace

Coinfrog, I thought the coin was a good buy at $14.00,given the details it shows. I have a couple of more common dates in so-so condition that I will probably sell now. I have a buyer for my castoffs. In this way I try to upgrade my collection. I certainly would welcome frank comments from anyone on the price. It might help me in the future. Thanks.

14.00 was a good buy. I would try some pure acetone on this one too.
