Morning/Afternoon/Evening;

I wonder if anyone can tell me whether or not the low serial number on this note marks it as anything out of the ordinary?

It's an uncirculated note, my grandfather had set it aside with a few others. I don't believe it is particularly valuable, at least I don't think it is (?), but I just wondered if this is considered a 'low' serial number? Unique enough to preserve it well, or just keep it loose in the box with others?

Thanks.

You need to visit a coin shop and get mylar sleeves or holders for every one of the notes left to you, this one is a classic Scottish note and runs at least $50 in nice AUNC or UNC condition. If you want to consider your notes not to be valuable, then scatter them loose in a box, that will ensure you are correct in your presumption.

Don't take your box of notes with you to the shop, you'll just bang them around in there and lose a half-grade.

Serial Nos. less than 100 are considered low numbers, but No. 501 will also command a premium. How much that might be, can't say.

Cheers for that.

I always meant to get some sleeves for my notes, I just haven't got around to it yet.

They're stored fairly carefully mind you, I'm not quite shaking them up in the box, but I catch your drift.

Thanks.
