I am nearly to my 500th post. I have gathered a few close-ups of coins for identification. Some have been rotated, etc. The results must be emailed rather than posted on the topic for obvious reasons. I will respond to the PMs within the topic with something like "(username), you missed #3 and #4. Try again." The honor code applies, so don't consult with one another - give everyone an equal chance. I will keep the contest going until three people provide the correct answers. Those three will be given a second task. The winner of the second portion of the contest will be decided by popular vote. The prize was purchased at my local coin show this past weekend. I like it and don't even have one for myself - so come and get it! I hope you enjoy the contest as much as I've enjoyed being a member of this family for the past six months. I've learned a lot and have be re-invigorated in my collecting pursuits. Thanks! OK - These are all U.S. Coins or Medals. You must have at least 50 posts to participate and you must have a U.S. or Canadian mailing address. Answers should be as specific as possible (not just "a quarter" - instead "SLQ Type II" for instance) These should be fairly easy. If no one gets all right, though, I will default to who got the most right or gave the most detail. As stated before, the contest will remain open until we get three players for round 2. Have fun! #1 - #2 - #3 - #4 - #5 - #6 - #7 - #8 - "Nummi rari mira sunt, si sumptus ferre potes." - Christophorus filius Scotiae

Buckwill, didn't receive your first PM, only the second one discussing #3 (that guess is right by the way). Please resend your guesses. Thanks.

Buckwill is the second player to move into round 2. All guesses correct. One slot left!
