1969 Kennedy the coin makes a thud sound. Weighs right. The out side rim is split almost all the way except little spot

Not seeing what? It's clear as can be the picture has a clear separation. Dropping on the table ? On a rubber mate thing.

@tman1515, it sounds to me like this coin may have a split planchet. Can you please take another pic of the edge that is in focus and isn't quite as magnified? Others will have to weigh in on what additional value over face this coin would have, but it seems like a neat find to me and probably worth saving.

I am sorry about the pics. Been looking and just bought a Carson 840 is that a good device for better quality? What's the device, app, camera etc if choice for collectors to have. Best stuff?
