i found a 1967 canadian penny last night coin hunting, its confusing me because its the size of a dime but its striked in copper, there is no edges, just thought it was odd, any idea what it might be?

oh I know it should be struck in copper, what I'm confused about is I can take a dime and line it up perfectly with the penny, as far as I know pennies are ussualy alittle bigger then dimes right?

My initial was PMD.... but could you please get an exact weight of the coin... I'm wondering if the penny was just a smaller planchet....

A 1967 penny is 3.24 g, so within range.

Also could have been struck through a split/thin planchet, as there appears to be a weakness in the beads on the lower left of the obverse.

Can you post a close-up of the front, back and side?

It looks slightly smaller in design. It could be an electromagnetic shrinking experiment, has Uneven surface round bird. Just an idea. Some of the letters and dots don't line up like a 1967 normal penny. The II's for example. What does the edge look like? Is rounded or flat?

Is it thicker than the normal 67 penny? The weight is within tolerance. Is the centre of the edge sunken inwards?

My guess is electromagnetically shrunken. Is,there any slight distortion sin the queens design vs normal? And is the surface directly around the queen off? Use the normal to compare. It's something only you can likely see in hand
