can anyone tell me what is the difference between an obverse 3 or an obverse 4 coin? I am new to the collecting world as I have inherited my Fathers collection of world coins, I would appreciate any comments to help me understand these differences which wood then explain why they are soo valuable. Thank You

I agree with Roy. You could also pick up the Charlton Coin Guide for Canadian coins. Its amazing and it has hi-res photo's that will help you determine which obverse you have.
